Basically we could not have peace, or an atmosphere in which peace could grow, unless we recognized the rights of individual human beings...their importance, their dignity...and agreed that was the basic thing that had to be accepted throughout the
world.
IICRD will be hosting Children’s Rights in Practice: Measuring Our Impact May 10 through May 15, 2009 in Whistler, BC, Canada.
Topics to be addressed by presenters and keynote speakers, in plenary and workshop formats, include measuring the impact of the CRC on children and their world with special focus on: assessing the impact of services for children across various government and NGO sectors; monitoring and evaluation of child centred legislation and services; rights based approaches to monitoring and evaluation; child participation in measuring impact; and community based, contextual approaches to monitoring and evaluation.
