The Child Rights in Practice: Measuring our Impact conference has been completed. Five days of interactive presentations, panel discussions and engaging dialogue in the beautiful scenery of Whistler, BC, has proven to be a powerful tool for exploring monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of child rights work.
Each day offered a new layer to the complex conversations surrounding M&E - How can we be more accountable to children? What tools can be used for better M&E? What is our impact on the well-being of children and how can we measure this?
Participants were able to get to the core of these questions but also connect with their peers on M&E issues that were of particular importance to them and their work.
Overall, the conference was a successful beginning for a conversation that still needs to develop and grow. We hope participants can take what they learned at the conference and apply these insights to their work while continuing to delve further into the important aspects of monitoring and evaluation.
