The YouthScape National Gathering is Quickly Approaching!

YouthScape will be holding their 5th national gathering in Victoria, BC from November 26-29, 2009.

This three day gathering will bring together YouthScape pilot sites, national partners and other special guests to re-connect as a national learning community. This gathering will give YouthScape communities from all over Canada the chance to connect and share specific tools, practices and strategies for increased community engagement and organizational growth. This is also an opportunity to showcase exceptional young leaders who have been involved in YouthScape’s youth engagement field.

An important outcome of this gathering will be identifying the next steps needed for sustaining the momentum of the YouthScape movement. It is essential that the national communities continue collaborating to keep moving this exciting work forward.

Change Starts with Youth!

Project News:

It is rare for me to find that the information provided by children is not helpful.  My experience has been that the discussion with children generates not only useful information, but is frequently a powerful tool in the continuing dialogue with the parents and social workers.
