Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean will meet with IICRD Board Chair Dr. Gordon Smith and the IICRD Team to discuss the work of the Institute.
As the recipient of the Vanier Medal, Dr. Gordon Smith had the opportunity to discuss the University of Victoria's Centre for Global Studies and the work of IICRD. Her Excellency will be in Victoria, British Columbia for the Pacific Canadian Naval Centennial International Fleet Review and has requested an intimate discussion with IICRD on our work locally, nationally, and internationally. Engaging youth is a priority of Her Excellency's mandate and we welcome the opportunity to discuss our national YouthScape initiative and other work that focuses on creating spaces for youth participation in community development.
