The SAUTI-Youth project brings Tanzanian and Irish youth together to strengthen youth engagement in local government initiatives aimed at addressing climate action challenges. The aim of the project is to empower youth to be strong voices in and for their communities and to monitor government commitments and implementation of climate action policies. SAUTI-Youth has focused on building improved relationships and trust and mutual accountability between youth and government leading to processes of change for their communities. IICRD’s Bosun Jang, and team, have partnered with this project to conduct the monitoring and evaluation at the end of the project, and have provided future recommendations.
