The Foundations of Our Research
At IICRD, we consider applied research to be integral to supporting children’s well-being. Applied research is critical to creating the space for generative dialogue between children, young people, adults and institutions to form relationships, further creativity, change mindsets and build systems that support children’s rights.
Built into many of our projects and initiatives is a research component aimed at:
(1) strengthening the capacity of stakeholders, including children themselves, to identify issues and solutions,
(2) supporting communities to answer their own questions about how to create positive social change, and
(3) contributing more broadly to the scientific knowledge on how to support children’s rights and healthy development.
