Right To Play International and the International Institute for Child's Rights and Development (IICRD) invite you and your colleagues to join us for the third webinar of the

Transformative Power of Play Webinar Series. The series brings together a transdisciplinary and intersectoral community of diverse scholar, research, and practitioner experts in play to explore and advance the pivotal power of play in young people's lives.

General Comment 17 on article 31 of the UNCRC states: ‘play takes place whenever and wherever opportunities arise’. This apparently straightforward statement is profoundly significant in terms of thinking about ‘playing’ and the everyday ways in which children go on with their lives. In the May 24th webinar Dr Wendy Russell, Senior Lecturer in Play and Playwork, University of Gloucestershire, United Kingdom, will present an argument for play that advocates paying attention to how those everyday moments arise. This marks a shift away from looking at providing designated spaces, times and activities (important though these are) towards thinking about the right to play as a matter of spatial justice.

Please RSVP at   https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7Q56KXZ  by May 23rd to receive your Webinar Link by email 1 day prior to the session. Register early to secure a spot.

Stepping boldly into leading with children and youth to create a better future for us all.
