This spring, the CHRC will host a two-day symposium at Loyola University Chicago.

This interdisciplinary forum joins in a global effort to demonstrate by way of research the destructive effects of hitting children and to develop policy measures and a multi-dimensional strategic action plan for the United States. The symposium plans to engage advocates, educators, scholars, students, faith/community based organizations, service providers, health care providers and policy makers in the movement to end corporal punishment both here at home and abroad.
