The goals of the Global Summit are to:
Provide a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue among the global community about the experience of childhood.
Explore the current state of childhood, including issues affecting education and mental and physical well-being, from international, cross-cultural, and cross-disciplinary perspectives.
Examine specific issues impacting the lives of children today.
Consider best policies and practices to promote the opportunities that support a positive childhood experience and to address the challenges that threaten childhood.
The Global Summit on Childhood will examine the societal changes that may provide opportunities for or threaten a positive childhood experience for the world's children. What does childhood look like around the world? What practices and policies can we implement that will protect our children and help them develop to their full potential?
This summit will offer a platform for sharing a wide variety of viewpoints, ideas, and information from all around the world. We welcome presentation proposals on practice, policy, and research from a variety of sectors, including universities, government agencies, schools, nonprofit organizations (NGOs), research institutes, and associations. We are seeking diverse perspectives that address the Voices, Vision, and Visibility of Childhood from multi- and inter-disciplinary perspectives.
Limited registration now open here, early registration rates until February 10th.
